Describe your success:

Oof, what is “success”, even? For me, how you react to the successes and failures you encounter is the more important way to define things. When I have encountered successes, I’ve worked to build on them. When I have encountered failures, I’ve kept a level head, working to contain any damage and finding a new path forward. In my opinion, whether you encounter success or failure, the key is to not lose sight of the opportunity ahead.

How does Franklin play into your success?

The small, discussion-based classes at Franklin, combined with the international setting of the campus and Academic Travel, really helped me develop a deeper understanding of different perspectives and how to navigate unfamiliar circumstances. Both of those skills have been pivotal to handling the successes and failures I’ve encountered since graduating.

What’s your favorite quote?

"Perhaps a man's character is like a tree, and his reputation like its shadow; the shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing" -Abraham Lincoln

What is one of your hobbies?

I have two main hobbies: the first is playing computer games – I enjoy exploring different stories and worlds as expressed through the different mechanics and art that developers use to tell their stories. The second is body building – not planning on doing any competitions, it just acts as a sort of meditation, letting me center myself and shed any stress that may be in my day.
