We are excited to welcome you back to campus to celebrate Franklin Alumni Weekend in Lugano, Switzerland. Please find the schedule of events listed below to help you as you decide which activities you plan to attend. We are looking forward to welcoming you home to Lugano in May 2022. We ask that you register no later than Friday, May 6, 2022.

4 - 5:45 p.m. | Aperitivo Alumni Boat Cruise - Alumni Classes of 1960s - 2010
Depart from Imbarcadero Paradiso
Join us for a cruise around Lake Lugano! The scenery never disappoints and a glass of prosecco in the company of new and old friends is always enjoyable! Due to high demand, we ask that you only choose this cruise if you are part of the Classes of the 1960s through 2010. The second launch is available for those who graduated from 2011-2021.
6 - 7:30 p.m. | Young Alumni and Graduates Aperitivo Alumni Boat Cruise (Classes of 2011 - 2021)
Depart from Imbarcadero Paradiso
Join us for a cruise around Lake Lugano! The scenery never disappoints and a glass of prosecco in the company of new and old friends is always enjoyable! This cruise is for alumni from the classes of 2011 - 2021. You will also be joined by the current graduates.

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. | Exploring Lugano: Hike on Monte Bre
Departs from Kaletsch Campus Parking Lot
Join our Coordinator of Recreational Sports & Student Engagement, Aniello De Lucia, for a hike up to Monte Bre. This is a high intensity hike of approximately 600 + meters designed for more difficult walking levels. Please bring proper hiking footwear for this activity. Note: We may change this to hike to San Salvatore, but will inform you if that is the case.
3 - 4 p.m. | Exploring Lugano: Lake Muzzano
Departs from Kaletsch Campus Parking Lot
Join our Coordinator of Recreational Sports & Student Engagement, Aniello De Lucia, for a walk around Lago di Muzzano. This is an easy intensity walk designed for all walking levels.
3 - 4 p.m. | Student Panel: Hear From Current Franklin Students
Nielsen Auditorium, Kaletsch Campus
Interested in what it's like to be a Franklin student in 2022? Hear from current students about their Franklin experience. This is an interactive panel where alumni can ask the students questions, and students may even have some questions for you!
6 - 7 p.m. | Benjamin Franklin Society Apero (Invitation Only)
Conference Room, Kaletsch Campus
Join fellow Benjamin Franklin Society members for a special apero with President Warden prior to the Taste of Switzerland. This event is invitation only.
7 - 9 p.m. | Taste of Switzerland
Kaletsch Campus Lawn
Do you remember the first time you had raclette, polenta, or Gruyère cheese? This informal cocktail-style dinner for alumni, guests, faculty, and staff will feature delicious foods from around Switzerland.

10 - 11:30 a.m. | New Building Celebration and State of the University
New Building Site
Join Franklin alumni for a special celebration of the New Building and hear the State of the University with President Greg Warden. There will be time to explore the new site and see the innovative ways that Franklin is utilizing this space for students.
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. | Brunch following the New Building Celebration
Kaletsch Campus
Following the special celebration of the New Building and the State of the University with President Greg Warden, walk across the street to Kaletsch Campus and enjoy a light brunch.
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. | Student-Led Campus Tours
Departs outside of Nielsen Auditorium, Kaletsch Campus
Enjoy a walking tour of both Kaletsch and North Campuses. Students will give you a glimpse into what it’s like to be a student at Franklin today. You can enjoy the New Building celebration, have some brunch, and then take a tour of campus with current students.
3 p.m. | Commencement Ceremony
Palazzo Congressi, Lugano
Celebrate the Class of 2022 during their Commencement Ceremony. The Golden Falcons (alumni who attended Franklin 50+ years ago) will lead the procession. Graduates of 2020 will also walk in the procession and be recognized as having graduated from Franklin University Switzerland. A reception will follow the ceremony.
7 p.m. | Class Dinners
Lugano
Volunteer to help coordinate a class dinner for your classmates. Choose a restaurant in Lugano and Alumni Relations will help market it to your classmates/friends. If you need help deciding where to go, we're always happy to make a suggestion. Registering for this event indicates your interest in coordinating a dinner. A member of our staff will be in touch with you after you sign up here.

Tent on the Soccer Field, North Campus
Gather at the Soccer Field on North Campus for a fun-filled afternoon of great food, drinks, and your Franklin friends. Bring the whole family to this closing Reunion event.
