Dear Franklin Community,

See here an important letter regarding the u-Smell-it initiative and our continued efforts to keep the community safe. As part of these efforts, all students attending classes on campus will be tested for COVID-19 on Wednesday, April 7, in the auditorium. Please see the testing schedule here. You will see that the testing is divided into travel groups: please attend with your travel class even if you did not travel. Anyone living on campus who did not enroll in Academic Travel will receive a separate email with an assigned testing time. Please make sure you go to the auditorium at the designated time for your testing.

In addition, we will be starting a second phase of the u-Smell-It testing. We advise all members of the Franklin community to take part in this ongoing testing scheme. To participate, please fill out the informed consent form. The attached letter contains detailed information. Cards for the u-Smell-it initiative will be distributed at the testing in the auditorium. You will receive a separate, personalized email with your login code on Wednesday, April 7, once you have signed up. Faculty and staff may pick up their cards at reception or at the Registrar’s office beginning on Wednesday, April 7.

If you have any questions or concerns about the initiative, please let Professor Della Croce, Professor Hale, student representative Jonathan Bystrowski, or me know.

And as always, please wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth, wash your hands, and social distance.
