Take part in saving energy, and your residence hall just might win a prize.

This February and March, the Green Office is holding a competition between residence halls to encourage residents to reduce energy consumption.

Each residence hall’s electricity usage per capita will be measured with the help of the FUS Physical Plant/Maintenance Department. The residence hall with the lowest usage will win!

The FUS Office of Student Life is supporting this competition with terrific prizes. The winner for February will receive a food party for their residents (residents can choose pizza, Thai or something else) and the winner at the end of March will have their residents put in a lottery to win first choice in housing selection for next year.

So power down: Turning off lights and unplugging items not in use is a great way to help the environment, save energy, win cool prizes and earn a bit of glory for your residence hall! Keep conserving!
