A step-by-step approach to medical emergencies (physical and mental) on campus and beyond. This informative event is hosted by McKenzie Steiner, the Coordinator of Health and Wellness with Health Services and the Alpine Club.

Course Contents Include:

- Emergency Resources at Franklin, Lugano, Switzerland, and Academic Travel locations
- First aid options in an urban versus a rural/wilderness setting
- How alcohol and drugs can cause unconsciousness and what to do
- First aid for respiratory emergencies, choking, asthma or allergy reactions
- First aid for major bleeding and burns
- How to help someone with a broken bone
- Helping someone in distress: Anxiety/Panic attacks, Depression
