Be part of one of Ticino's most exciting sporting events! StraLugano returns to Lugano bringing together thousands of runners for a fun and energetic weekend of sport, community, and celebration. This year's event marks the 20th edition of StraLugano and features internationally certified courses through the beautiful streets and lakeside of Lugano. [
The Office of Student Life (OSL) is pleased to support Franklin students who participate in either the:
- 5Km FunRun
- 10Km CityRun
Students who complete either race are eligible for a CHF 20 reimbursement from OSL after participating in the event.
How It Works
- Register independently through the official StraLugano website: StraLugano Registration
- Participate in the race on event day.
- After the event, submit your proof of participation to the Office of Student Life to receive your CHF 20 refund.
Please note that registration fees must be paid directly to the race organizers at the time of registration.

Whether you're an experienced runner aiming for a personal best or simply looking for a fun challenge with friends, the StraLugano offers the perfect opportunity to experience one of the region's premier sporting events. The 5Km FunRun is ideal for beginners and recreational runners, while the 10Km CityRun provides a rewarding challenge through the heart of Lugano.
RA Maggie will be coordinating the Franklin group and will be available to answer questions, help participants connect with fellow runners, and provide support before and during the event.
