On the occasion of World Cleanup Day 2026, the Menaspelli Association and the Green Office of Franklin University Switzerland invite citizens to a morning of conscious participation and shared care for the environment. The goal is to care for the places we experienced over the summer—the lakeside and city parks—through concrete cleanup and environmental awareness efforts.
Participants will be welcomed at 9:00 a.m. at Lanchetta Park, where they will be introduced and divided into cleaning teams. The areas targeted for the cleanup will be Lanchetta Park, the Cassarate Calisthenics Park, and the Via Pico Park. High-visibility vests are required. Gloves and bags will be provided by the City of Lugano.
Activities will close at 12:00 p.m., with the weighing and disposal of collected waste. A simple but important gesture to contribute to the cleanliness, decor, and livability of public spaces.
