Franklin University Switzerland – Global Alumni Reunion, May 25, 2025
Some goodbyes don’t feel more like a “see you soon”, with a full heart, a clear mind, and eyes gazing at the future.
On Sunday, May 25th, Franklin University Switzerland brought its 55th Anniversary Global Alumni Reunion to a close with a gathering that was heartwarming, and palpable positive energy: the Celebration Brunch.
The day began outdoors at the iconic Grotto on Kaletsch Campus, where joy and reflection filled the air. Guests shared stories over a final meal beneath the trees, savoring each bite and each moment.
University leaders and alumni took the floor to reflect not only on the past few days, but on the journey still ahead. Many shared how the weekend had reminded them of the roots that Franklin gave them—and the strength that comes from knowing those roots still run deep.
The brunch was full of laughter, hugs, and the occasional quiet pause—those long, silent moments when gratitude speaks louder than words.
Later in the morning, guests gathered at the McNeely Center of Ideas & Imagination, where a moment of recognition was shared. President Samuel Martín-Barbero, Director of Advancement Nickolas Neibauer ’05, and Chairman of the U.S. Board of Trustees Paul C. Lowerre welcomed alumni, faculty, and friends to the unveiling of the Donor Wall — a permanent tribute to those whose generosity helped shape the new building complex.
With Trustee Pascal F. Tone and Lynn Tone present—representing the enduring spirit of Franklin’s founders—the moment felt both ceremonial and personal. The wall, lined with the names of donors who believed in Franklin’s mission, was revealed to heartfelt applause. It was more than a dedication. It was a collective thank-you, carved into the walls of a space built on vision, generosity, and hope.
Together, we raised a final toast:
To 55 years of shared stories,
To lifelong friendships that stretch across continents,
To a university that continues to evolve — and bring us home.
The reunion ended not with a goodbye — but with a deep, resounding thank you and a hopeful look towards the next 55 years.
