It began with one opportunity. When Franklin student George Whittaker Curry secured a summer internship at Deloitte a few years ago, he not only gained valuable experience but also opened a door that others would soon walk through.

Since then, the connection between Franklin and Deloitte has grown stronger. Last year, two Franklin students were selected for the firm’s one-year traineeship program – a pathway that allows young professionals to gain hands-on insight into one of the most competitive industries in the world. And most recently, Jesse Fioranelli Jr. was chosen to join Deloitte’s Sports and Major Events division, where he gained international experience exploring the intersection of business, consulting, and global sport. Each story shows the exceptional learning experience, and the support Deloitte offers to young talent to gain best-in-class expertise in a global environment.

The collaboration with Deloitte combines Franklin’s commitment to provide rigorous academics, intercultural perspective, and practical experiences with Deloitte’s focus on real-world impact, mentorship, and long-term career growth. It creates valuable opportunities for students to develop the confidence and skills to thrive on an international stage and fast-changing business landscape.

The story doesn’t end there. In Fall 2025, Bernard Sinnaeve, Deloitte’s Sports Leader for the Swiss market, will return to campus to teach an Introduction to Sports Management course, giving students the chance to learn directly from industry expertise while connecting theory to practice in one of the fastest-growing fields worldwide.

From Lugano to Zürich and beyond, Franklin students are showing what it means to turn academic potential into global opportunity and lasting professional success.
