On February 2, 2024, Franklin University Switzerland signed an agreement with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), marking a significant step forward in the advancement of global education in international management. This collaboration is set to enrich Franklin’s Master of Science in International Management program by incorporating UNITAR's expertise, particularly in sustainable development.

The Master of Science in International Management is a one-year graduate program designed to provide a comprehensive business education. It is distinct for its transdisciplinary methodology, which is deeply rooted in the liberal arts tradition. This approach ensures that students receive a holistic management training, which not only focuses on cutting-edge theories and practices but also emphasizes a personalized teaching methodology that effectively bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

The partnership with UNITAR introduces a unique component to the program. A dedicated course on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), designed and delivered by the UNITAR Division for Prosperity, will be a key feature of this collaboration. This course aims to equip students with a deep understanding of sustainability issues and their impact on global business practices. Furthermore, students pursuing the Business and Sustainability track will have the opportunity to engage directly with the United Nations system through a capstone project supervised by UNITAR. This practical experience is designed to prepare students for the challenges of promoting sustainability within a business context.

This initiative not only enhances the academic offerings of Franklin University Switzerland but also aligns with UNITAR's mission to develop capacities to enhance global decision-making and support country-level action for shaping a better future.

To learn more about this exciting partnership and the Master of Science in International Management program, including detailed information on the curriculum and admissions process, interested students are encouraged to attend the upcoming webinar on March 20, 2024, jointly hosted by UNITAR and Franklin University Switzerland.
