The RAs will welcome those who would like to start getting to know other students in the Falcon’s Nest. We’ll discuss a few things you need to know for your first night here and talk about some of our policies related to living on campus. We’ll head to the Grotto for dinner together!

Several of our student leaders will share valuable information about life at Franklin and tips about traveling, getting around, and navigating Swiss culture.

Our student leaders will show you around campus to help you get your bearings! We’ll show you the academic buildings and a few of the neighborhood shops that many students frequent off-campus.

Quick Trip to Ponte Tresa (optional)
Meet outside the Office of Student Life, Airone

Student leaders will lead interested students to the nearest FLP Train stop and take them on a quick trip to Ponte Tresa, a town that straddles the Swiss-Italian border. Many students go to Ponte Tresa for cheaper prices and some ethnic restaurants options not available in Lugano. An RA will show interested students how to buy train tickets for the 25-minute ride and will point out some of the highlights. If you would like to join us, please be sure to bring your passport.
