Learn practical skills and techniques from traditional martial arts that are applicable to self-defense. This event is beginner-friendly, focusing on grappling basics, which will feature simple throws, takedowns, and joint manipulations. The techniques that will be showcased are a handful of fundamentals that use different methods to compromise an opponent's balance. Participants should ideally come away from this event with knowledge they can use to protect themselves or for the sake of pursuing the sport element of martial arts.
