The Green Office at Franklin University Switzerland is a hub for collaboration, joint initiatives, and real-world applications of sustainability policies within the university, as well as locally and globally. By consolidating, developing, and implementing sustainability-related initiatives at all levels of the Franklin community, the Green Office Sustainability Programs institutionalize sustainability through multifaceted and interdisciplinary approaches and serve as a resource for students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

From April 21-22, 2023, the Green Office will host an Earth Day Summit as a weekend conference showcasing multidisciplinary approaches to sustainability. By convening a diverse group of academic and community leaders, the Summit will address the interconnectedness that explains why Sustainability is a Shared Goal. The Earth Day Summit will include faculty, students, and community advocates from Ticino and beyond. The weekend will emphasize the unique connections we have to each other and our planet. Summit participants can expect panels that will deepen our understanding of sustainability; meals that explore sustainability themes; and interactive, engaging activities that build community while learning.

FUS students, faculty and staff are welcome on Friday, April 21, where there will be a New Commons Game, an Opening Ceremony, a Sustainable Choices Obstacle Course, a Taco and Burrito Bar Dinner discussing plant-based diets, and a Community Building Event: Trivia Night (Test Your Sustainability Knowledge).
