Newly appointed Ambassador of Israel to Switzerland, H.E. Mrs. Ifat Reshef, visited Franklin University Switzerland last Wednesday, January 19, taking part in an informal roundtable discussion with President Gregory Warden, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Kim Hildebrant, Director of Marketing and Strategy, Davide Gai, and Professor in International Relations and Political Science, Morris Mottale.

The session was an extremely productive discussion about future collaboration on important global issues like environmental and climate change, innovation and new technologies, and the Sustainable Development Goals. Particular interest also went to one of Franklin's broader research agendas, the impact of culture and the arts in urban communities. President Warden explained Franklin's mission, academic offer, partnerships, and the visit also provided H.E. Mrs. Itaf Reshef with a better understanding of how the University integrates educational programs and internationally relevant topics in its curriculum and research.

Chairman Kim Hildebrant commented "we were delighted by the visit and look forward to developing even further the strong relationship which already exists between Franklin University Switzerland and the Embassy of Israel. Ambassador Reshef has kindly accepted our invitation to return to Franklin on one of her future visits to Lugano for an informal Q&A session with our students."

In addition, in September 2022, Franklin will present once again its yearly international Cybersecurity Symposium, in which Israeli security experts will be among the main speakers.
