As a reminder, Franklin reports positive COVID cases for individuals who were on campus during any of the five days prior to their diagnosis. Find weekly reports of this information on the COVID-19 Cases: Management and Communication site in Moodle.

Students with COVID vaccination / recovery documents from outside of Switzerland are encouraged to obtain a Swiss COVID Certificate to use when traveling outside of Switzerland. This document could be required if the epidemiological situation changes. Follow the instructions at the site.Contact the Coordinator of Student Medical Services with questions.

Starting October 1, 2022, FFP2 masks will be required on long-distance trains and in some indoor settings in Germany. In addition, individual German states may also establish mask requirements for restaurants, bars, and stores. Students are encouraged to monitor the requirements and situation before traveling outside of Switzerland. FFP2 masks can be purchased from a local pharmacy. In addition, the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) has announced that starting October 10, 2022, individuals aged 16 and over will be eligible for an additional COVID booster vaccination. COVID Certificates will continue to be issued for vaccinations and for proof of infection or for negative test results. The Franklin COVID Workgroup continues to monitor the situation and will keep our community informed when Ticino announces their COVID booster vaccination distribution plan for individuals 16 and over. Students should contact the Coordinator of Student Medical Services for COVID reporting, health advice, and support.
