The Recreational Sports office located in the Office of Student Life at Franklin University Switzerland aims to provide experiences that enrich the lives of the FUS community at large, advance student success, develop leaders, and encourage lifelong wellness. The office is committed to promoting physical fitness within the University and organizes activities and sports for students, faculty, and staff.

Regular intramural sports such as basketball, volleyball, futsal, and dodgeball are among the various recreational activities offered throughout the academic year. A variety of wellness courses taught by qualified professional instructors are also available, including total conditioning workout, cardio dance, Pilates, and yoga. These activities are mainly offered in the on-campus sports facility, the Tone Athletic Center, which includes an outdoor soccer field, a strength and conditioning room, and an indoor sport court. The Franklin Recreational Sports office also coordinates various outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, climbing, stand up paddling, skiing, snowboarding and sledging.

OUTDOOR SPORT ACTIVITIES

The Office of Student Life coordinates a series of outdoor activities, and always tries to expand its program offering. These activities are generally accessible to most levels of ability, but spaces may be limited to ensure a high level of instruction and safety. We recommend that students check their e-mail and the FUS App regularly for updated information about what is being offered.

For any additional information or questions regarding the Sports Service, please contact Aniello De Lucia, Coordinator of Recreational Sports & Student Engagement, at adelucia@fus.edu.
