In addition to teaching at Franklin, Martin Bullock worked as a researcher at the Pädagogischer Hochschule Thurgau as part of the research group in Didactics for Natural Sciences of the University of Konstanz. His areas of research for his doctorate include sustainability and digitization in chemistry education, while his research for his MSE at SUPSI was focused on optimizing wastewater treatment methods with activated carbon. A former Fulbright Fellow (Germany, 1992-1993), Martin has taught chemistry lecture and laboratory courses at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Iowa State University as well as Franklin. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Swiss Chemical Society and the Swiss Science Education Association.
