Genoma Scenico LAB is an experiential workshop that offers a welcoming space to explore new visions and perceptions of the body.

The workshop, held by the choreographer Nicola Galli, leads the participants in a physical training that intertwines several dance and somatic techniques, to then discover the language of the body and to explore the techniques of creating a dance performance.

Through the use of an original composition method and a playful device inspired by genomic research, participants experience the role of authors and choreographers. The workshop thus stimulates people to activate compositional strategies, to learn about the infinite creative possibilities and to perceive the scene as a permeable place where bodies, movement, space and sound connect.

Nicola Galli (1990, Italy) works on body research and is a choreographer, dancer, light and costume designer. His research started with artistic pieces and devices that range from choreography to performance, from body installations to graphic-visual design.

His work embraces a transversal scenic vision, in which the body becomes the irradiate core of artistic research and a sensibility focused on the exploration of movement as a part of different knowledge.

Since 2010 he has been developing a choreographic research focused on the deep relationship between human and nature and on the analysis of the notions of "stratification" and "landscape".

Since 2014, he has been an artist supported by the production organization TIR Danza.

His works have been presented in: Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Holland, Peru, Switzerland and via livestreaming in South Korea.

He has also collaborated with important international Institutions: MUSE Science Museum (Trento), Scuola Normale Superiore University (Pisa), Fondazione Perugia Musica Classica (Perugia), Institute of the Arts (Seoul), IUAV University (Venice).
