This semester, we got off to a great start!

We expanded the committee to include four new members from the student body. These new ambassadors are Victoria Brinton, Pratik Poudel, Mael Metis, and Hannah Frank. We collaborated with the Office of Student Life and the Unity in Diversity Student group to organize and promote this year’s Community Unity Dinner.  We are excited about the upcoming community event next semester centered on storytelling.

In a joint effort with the Academic Standards Committee, we worked on the new Religious Exemption Policy for Academic Travel. This new policy will be visible and in effect in the Academic Catalog for the year 2024-2025.

We have been making email announcements to the FUS community regarding some marker events such as the Diwali festival, and International Pronouns Day in October. The goal of these community messages is to help Franklin become more inclusive to students, staff, and faculty from different backgrounds.

We would like to continue the inclusion and recognition of your holidays and significant events in our calendar. If you have a suggestion for a date or holiday you celebrate and would like to be recognized, please let us know by completing this form: https://forms.office.com/e/2vMmZcp2He
