As we begin to look ahead to future campus events, I encourage our communityto follow the Commencement and Alumni Weekend websites for updates to be shared soon. Students should download and use the Franklin App for access to centralized resources, events, and information to stay informed and connected.

Students are invited to share their opinions by completing the Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI), a yearly survey about the student experience. All students received an email signed by the President and sent directly from Ruffalo Noel Levitz, the organization that administers the SSI. Franklin reviews the SSI data on a regular basis to set institutional priorities and make decisions in an effort to strengthen the student experience.

As of today, we have 21 community members who tested positive for COVID-19 last week and are in or finishing with self-isolation (please note, this number includes the 12 that were announced in the February 9 update). Individuals who had close contact without masks were identified during the contact tracing and asked to follow these instructions, get a COVID test (a Rapid Antigen COVID test is FREE by scheduling one at a local pharmacy), monitor their symptoms, and wear a mask at all times. Students who test positive must submit a negative COVID tests result to medicalservices@fus.edu in order to return to campus buildings and activities. Employees are expected to submit their negative test result to VP Tomaso Rizzi before returning to campus. Contact medicalservices@fus.edu if you have questions about your health or situation.

Franklin continues to mandate FFP2/KN95/N95 masks in all campus buildings and indoor areas and will reassess this policy during the weeks following Academic Travel. We hope to maintain the health and safety of our community to facilitate the Academic Travel experience and our community’s return to campus. The mask requirement includes the Dining Hall and Grotto when you are not sitting to eat/drink.
