Overview

In modern times, Silicon Valley's venture capital has led the Internet and mobile revolution, creating numerous innovative companies including Apple, Google, Amazon, and Facebook, and radically transforming our lives. The Venture Capital and Private Equity (VC&PE) EMBA aims to cultivate professionals (examiners and investment managers) or who want to start and operate VC and PE firms. Faculty members include incumbent LP and GP (VC&PE Firm) and industry (AI, fintech, entertainment, games, etc.) experts. Courses focus on acquiring practical knowledge such as accounting and finance basics, financial modeling, investment examination, reporting, investment proposal preparation, fundraising techniques, strategic planning, new business development, and marketing of large and mid-sized companies. When taken with a dual-degree from FUS, The program is delivered in about thirty percent English and seventy percent in Korean language. AI Big DataDigital Finance and AI Strategic Management specializations are also available with a dual-degree from FUS.

Curriculum

The Venture Capital and Private Equity EMBA curriculum is designed with courses in:

  1. General business administration
  2. VC&PE specialization
  3. FUS requirements.

To fulfill the requirements for this dual-degree EMBA, participants must successfully complete studies worth 36 credits. Studies include 25.5 major credits, a thesis (3 credits), and overseas courses at FUS (7.5 credits). The EMBA can be completed in 18 months. The program has a modular structure and follows a two-week learning cycle with some courses delivered in English, but most in Korean. Courses are delivered on Fridays, 18:30-22:20 and Sat, 08:30-17:20.

VC&PE Bootcamp

The VC&PE Bootcamp is held for approximately two weeks in August each year at the FUS campus in Switzerland. During the bootcamp, you will interact with executives from leading tech companies and gain hands-on working experience with both venture capital and private equity fund technologies.
